Node JS Installation
Node JS works on all other platforms. If you want to learn basics of Node JS then you can use IDE like VS code (Visual Studio code) and there are extensions also which you can use. To check Node JS is installed or not simply write on Command Prompt-
If it is giving node version then it means node is installed.
To Install JS first go to Node JS official website i.e. “nodejs.org”.
As in this for larger projects like constuction etc. then the versions like LTS i.e. long time support and Current Version is choosed but for simple projects mostly Current Version is used.
For more specific selection about OS as well as space you can download it from Download section.
As you can see node JS setup and now you have to install it by clicking on it and it give you some option which you have to proceed with NEXT as below-:
This is the path you should note down to check if it is installed or not.
Then further add to path to YES
Select this automatic option it gives good feature advantage and Press NEXT.
And then finally install Node.js and Press NEXT when arrives.
It take some time for installation.
As you can see setup is completed and if any pop ups arrived about space etc. just press YES.
To know more about Node JS environment setup, have following info-:
-Prerequisites for Node JS you should have like Text Editor like Notepad, Notepad++ and along with latest browser. You should also have Command Prompt which is used to compile and execute the code.
Get quick touch to Node Environment-:
– Go to Official website of Node.js
– Choose required version of Node
– Run the downloaded .msi file
Once you done with installation then to check the installation, Go to “This PC”, after right click on PC, Go to Properties and then following window arrives-:
Click on Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables > Find the Path
After Double click on Path you will find C:\ProgramFiles\Nodejs\
Now open command prompt and write node and after click Enter, You will get into Node Environment.
